Examples

Mino Dyeing Factory Fukudaya

- Lecture at Ogaki Sakura High School -

At the request of Mino Dyeing Fukuda, I spoke as a special lecturer at Ogaki Sakura High School. As part of the class taught by Mr.Fukuda, the main lecturer, who lectures on furoshiki to students in the Japanese dressmaking course, I spoke about my own experiences and activities as an artist on the theme of "Expression and Living."

Although they are in different genres, the students share the common goal of "expressing themselves" and "making things," and I told them how "my various experiences have shaped who I am today."

I have experience studying abroad, so I was able to draw on that experience when speaking, and some of the participants said it was stimulating to gain different perspectives.

Afterwards, we had the opportunity to participate in a session where the students showed us the furoshiki that they had designed themselves and that Mr. Fukuda had dyed. Through lots of interaction, the students shared their various ideas, making it a very fruitful experience.

Ogaki Kiwanis Club

I was asked by the Ogaki Kiwanis Club to act as a lecturer. The club members make Kiwanis dolls themselves and give them as gifts to children in hospitals and facilities, and also donate, subsidize, and donate goods to children in financial difficulty and other hardships, as well as various organizations that support children. In front of these wonderful people who are driving the local economy, I spoke about what artists can do, what their activities are, and how they came to be involved in these activities.

I draw pictures on the theme of environmental issues (especially the voices of animals, nature, and children who are affected by environmental issues), so I talked about what kind of activities the company needs to do in the future, and how we can spread these activities to more people through art.

They also agreed with the idea that art, as a flexible tool, can have a very positive impact on both the mind and body of children and adults.
